NOWA Education Centre Karshi was established in October 2010 under the visionary leadership of the Naval Officers' Wives Association (NOWA). We started with 9 pioneering students and have grown to become one of Nasarawa State's leading educational institutions.
For JSS1 admission, candidates must: (1) Have completed primary education (2) Be between 10-12 years old (3) Pass our entrance examination (4) Submit birth certificate, previous school report, and 4 recent passport photographs. Entrance examinations are held quarterly.
We maintain a consistent 100% pass rate in NECO, WAEC, and State BECE examinations since 2012. Our students have achieved multiple 1st & 2nd positions in national competitions including Cowbell Mathematics Competition, National Essay Competitions, and Microsoft Office Specialist Championships.
Our campus features: Modern science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Computer/ICT lab with high-speed internet, Digital library with 10,000+ resources, Sports facilities (football field, basketball court, swimming pool), Music and arts studios, Healthcare center, and Secure boarding facilities.
Fees vary by class level and boarding status. For the 2024/2025 session: Day students: ₦150,000 - ₦250,000 per term, Boarding students: ₦300,000 - ₦450,000 per term. Fees include tuition, textbooks, ICT access, and basic medical care. Boarding fees include accommodation, feeding, and laundry.
Our campus is highly secure with: 24/7 naval security personnel, CCTV surveillance throughout campus, Controlled access points with biometric verification, Regular security drills and training, Female security personnel in girls' hostels, and Emergency response protocols.

Yes, we offer: NOWA Scholarship for children of naval personnel, Academic Excellence Scholarship (for top 5% in entrance exams), Sports Talent Scholarship, and Need-based financial aid. Applications open annually in March.
We maintain an optimal 15:1 student-teacher ratio in classrooms and 8:1 ratio in laboratories to ensure personalized attention and quality learning experience.
